Volunteer Your Time and Talents

Volunteers are the beating heart of our chapter. Whether you want to engage with decision makers, get your hands dirty on a habitat restoration project, or take kids fishing, there’s something for everyone. Here are some ways you can get involved:

Habitat
Get hands-on with projects to restore streams and replace invasive species with native vegetation. Participate in our Streamkeepers program to monitor stream conditions and report any issues observed.

Education
Volunteer for Trout in the Classroom, a hands-on conservation education program for elementary schools. Teach kids (and adults!) how to fish or tie flies. Participate in T.U.N.E. Camp, an outdoor-focused summer camp for middle school students near Lanesboro.

Advocacy
Join with other TU members to engage with legislators, attend hearings, and write letters. Write newsletter articles on topics related to cold-water conservation.

Events
Organize chapter meetings, outings, and other events.
