RRR College Scholarship

Randy Stevens was a professional fishing guide and owned River Rat Guide Service. He loved to fish walleye tournaments, hunt water fowl and train dogs to hunt. He loved the river life and the people he met that lived it with him. Randy passed away December 17th, 2020. As a family we decided to have a tournament to honor “RRR” and do an annual silent auction in his name and start a memorial scholarship in his name. 

The monies we make we would like to share with those trying to further their education.
We have decided to assist those who also have an interest in the same areas Randy loved. Whether it is DNR/Conservation or you are going to school/college and hunt/fish every chance you get. We would be honored to help and Dad would be proud to see monies given to someone to further their education.
The requirement for this scholarship is as follows:
*High school senior who is looking for money to help assist in college education 2 or 4 year college.
* Currently enrolled College student looking for additional funding towards their education.
* Minimum GPA 2.7 cumulative (seen on report card or via grades for last semester) send to email given below via PDF scanned document.
* Essay ( 2 paragraphs minimum) explaining your love for the outdoors and why you deserve to be helped with your educational needs and how you plan to pay it forward when you can. Who you are and how the outdoors impacts you and your family/upbringing. Just to name a few suggestions for the essay. Why you deserve this scholarship and how you emulate who Randy was and how this will assist you. Name, address, phone and email needed on essay sent in for consideration.
* Deadline for essay to be emailed to: [email protected] Friday 2/24/23 by 6pm.
We want to help more than one applicant. There will be 4 finalists. These finalist will be chosen by Randy’s family. We will present the award winners at the “Annual Freeze your Butt “tournament at the Bluff’s Bar and Grill: N1833 785th St, Hager City, WI 54014 at 430pm Saturday 3/4/23.
