September 2023 WiseH2O Water Quality Blitz

Whether you are on one of the streamkeeper teams that takes regular measurements of our target streams, an at-large streamkeeper, or you just happen to possess a WiseH2O kit with some test strips that you’ve barely used, September is the time to get out and take some measurements!  You can earn a chance at some Swag, and contribute to our conservation efforts.  Read below for more details, including an explanation of how WiseH2O measurements are being used to assess Brook Trout habitat.

It’s September and time to blitz. Help TU characterize water quality conditions and identify stream disturbances throughout the Driftless Area by making an observation with the WiseH2O App. As a bonus for making water quality observations, you will be eligible to win TU swag by participating in a September 2023 WiseH2O Water Quality Blitz.

How to Enter:
It’s easy: just make water quality observations with the WiseH2O App. Each observation made in September with the 5-in-1 test strip, the 2-in-1 test strip, and/or the phosphate test kit is an entry into a drawing to win 1 of 3 sets of TU logo’d gear:

1. TU Embrace-a-stream trucker hat, Tacky Flydrophobic flybox, Fishpond microtrash container, TU towel, TU tractable reel with line nipper
2. TU Embrace-a-stream trucker hat, Fishpond microtrash container, TU Tacky Daypack flybox, bakers dozen flys
3. TU beanie, TU Yeti tumbler, Fishpond microtrash container, and TU tractable reel with line nipper
